FAQ

Yes. Tiers is a WooCommerce extension and requires WooCommerce 8.0 or later.

No. The table is server-rendered — it loads with the page, before any JavaScript runs. There is no AJAX or hydration step, and no jQuery.

The deepest matching tier applies; tiers never stack. With a 5+ (5%) and 10+ (10%) ladder, 12 units in the cart get 10% off — not 15%. Tiers are evaluated from lowest to highest minimum quantity and the last match wins.

Wherever you choose: the product summary, before or after the add-to-cart form, the product meta area, or manual placement only. For manual placement use the [tiers_table] shortcode or the Volume pricing table block.

Can I apply different tiers to different products?

Section titled “Can I apply different tiers to different products?”

In the free version, tiers are global — the same ladder applies to every product. Per-product tier overrides are a Tiers Pro feature, built on the tiers/product_tiers filter.

Yes. Tiers modifies the cart line-item price before WooCommerce calculates totals, so standard WooCommerce coupons work normally on top of the tiered price.

Yes. Tiers modifies prices before WooCommerce’s tax calculation, so WooCommerce’s own tax logic applies to the discounted price.

Yes. Turn on the “You save” column in the pricing table, and optionally the per-line “You save” note in the cart, which confirms the discount is applying at the current quantity.

Can I hide the table but keep the discount?

Section titled “Can I hide the table but keep the discount?”

Yes. The table visibility toggle hides the on-page table without removing your tiers or stopping the cart discount.

Yes. It uses proper <th scope> and <caption> elements, so screen readers announce the quantities and prices correctly. The plugin targets WCAG 2.2 AA.

What happens when I deactivate or delete the plugin?

Section titled “What happens when I deactivate or delete the plugin?”

On deactivate, discounts stop and the table no longer appears, but your settings are kept. On delete, the uninstall routine removes the tiers_settings option. No custom tables are created, so your database is left clean.
