Sieve PRO
Sieve PRO is the planned premium edition for Sieve. It is an add-on that requires the free Sieve plugin installed and active; it is distributed through Freemius (licensing, activation and automatic updates), not the WordPress.org directory.
The scaffold release ships licensing, bootstrap, activation and migration plumbing. The features below are planned and not yet implemented.
Planned PRO features
Section titled “Planned PRO features”- Advanced facet types beyond the free MVP widgets.
- Conditional rules — show or hide filters by category, customer role or page context.
- A/B layout testing for the filter panel.
- A performance dashboard — index health, query times and filter load on large catalogues.
What the scaffold does today
Section titled “What the scaffold does today”- Boots only after the free Sieve plugin has loaded and fired its
sieve/bootedaction. - Verifies the free plugin is present and meets the minimum version, with admin notices when it is not.
- Registers premium services and hooks into the free plugin’s container.
- Declares WooCommerce HPOS and Cart/Checkout Blocks compatibility.
- Integrates the Freemius SDK for licensing, activation UI and automatic updates.
Relationship with Sieve
Section titled “Relationship with Sieve”Sieve PRO extends the free Sieve plugin. The free edition delivers the full filtering MVP; PRO adds configuration depth and diagnostics for stores with large catalogues.
Polski overlap
Section titled “Polski overlap”If you run Polski for WooCommerce with the built-in AJAX filters module enabled, do not install Sieve on the same store. See Standalone storefront plugins in Polski.
