Quotlet Pro

Quotlet Pro is the premium edition for Quotlet. It is an add-on that requires the free Quotlet plugin installed and active; it is distributed through Freemius (licensing, activation and automatic updates), not the WordPress.org directory.

Quotlet Pro extends the free request-a-quote flow. It does not work on its own. If the free plugin is missing, deactivated, or older than the required version, Quotlet Pro stays dormant and shows an admin notice instead of booting.

  • Ask about this product, an Ask a question about this product button on single product pages (classic and block themes) opens a dialog where a shopper sends a question about that product, with an optional file, without using the quote list. Each enquiry is stored as a quote request and emailed to the quote recipient set in Quotlet. Spam limits: a fresh security token each time the dialog opens, a hidden honeypot field and at most 5 enquiries per hour from one IP address (filter estimate-pro/enquiry_rate_limit, 0 switches the limit off). Behind a proxy or CDN such as Cloudflare, make sure the server sees the visitor’s real IP address (for example with the Cloudflare real-IP module), otherwise all visitors share one limit.
  • File attachments on enquiries, PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP, Word, Excel and ZIP files up to 10 MB, or less if the server’s upload limit is lower. WordPress checks the file type on upload. Files are stored under a random folder name, are never linked publicly and are downloaded by shop managers from the quote screen. On Apache a deny rule blocks direct access to the folder; on nginx add location ^~ /wp-content/uploads/quotlet-attachments/ { deny all; }. Deleting a quote, or erasing the customer’s personal data under Tools > Erase Personal Data, deletes the file.
  • Quote on out of stock, out-of-stock products switch to quote mode, so the shopper can ask instead of leaving. A variable product switches when none of its variations is in stock, and the shopper can still pick an out-of-stock variation for the quote.
  • Quote mode by customer role and category, switch quote mode on for selected roles (for example wholesale customers, or guests who are not logged in) and for products in selected categories, including their subcategories. With both set, both must match. These rules only add quote mode: products you set to quote-only in Quotlet stay quote-only. To hide prices from guests only, leave Quotlet in Selected products only mode with no product flagged and tick Guests (not logged in).
  • Counter-offers with Accept and pay, on the quote screen enter a negotiated price for the requested products, an optional expiry date and a note. Update saves them; Save and send offer saves and emails the customer a link. The link opens a confirmation page with the products, price, expiry and note; accepting there creates or updates a pending order at the offered price and opens its payment page. The price is entered the way the shop enters product prices: with tax included, or with tax added on top. Shipping is not added. A paid order is never changed, an expired offer or one whose terms changed after sending cannot be accepted, and an accepted offer cannot be accepted twice. Orders from a logged-in customer’s quote belong to that customer.
  • Export quote requests to CSV, bulk export from WooCommerce > Quote Requests via QuoteExporter. Streams every stored request (date, name, email, company, items, message) as a UTF-8 CSV with BOM. Capability-checked and nonce-protected.
  • Download quote PDF, generate a printable PDF for a single quote request with customer details, requested products and the shopper message via QuotePdfGenerator. Available from row actions on the quote list and from the single quote edit screen. The PDF shows the request, not the counter-offer.
  • Quote-to-order conversion, convert an approved quote into a WooCommerce order in one admin action via QuoteToOrderActions. Line items, customer details and quote reference copy to the new order.
  • Customer quote accounts, logged-in shoppers see past quote requests under My Account > Quote requests, open each request, view any linked WooCommerce order and re-load line items into a new quote list via MyAccountQuotes. Enable or disable under WooCommerce > Quotlet Pro.
  • CRM webhooks, every new quote request is POSTed as JSON to an endpoint of your choice via WebhookDelivery. Optional HMAC SHA256 signing, one automatic retry, last-delivery status and a test button under WooCommerce > Quotlet Pro.
  • Qualification questions, ready-made question sets (e-commerce and retail, installation and field services, B2B services) added to the quote request form via PresetFields.
  • Custom quote-request form fields.
  • Follow-up reminders.
