Does it require WooCommerce?
Section titled “Does it require WooCommerce?”Yes. WooCommerce must be installed and active.
Who can create a registry?
Section titled “Who can create a registry?”Any logged-in customer, from the My Account → Gift Registries area.
How does purchase tracking work?
Section titled “How does purchase tracking work?”When a gift is bought through a registry, the order line item records which registry it belongs to. Once the order is paid, the purchased quantity is added to the registry, so the public page shows how many are still needed and marks fulfilled items.
Can guests buy directly from the shared page?
Section titled “Can guests buy directly from the shared page?”Yes, if Allow direct purchase is enabled in the settings. Otherwise the buy button sends guests to the product page to purchase normally.
Do guests need an account to view or buy from a registry?
Section titled “Do guests need an account to view or buy from a registry?”No. The public registry page is a clean, read-only link anyone can open, and guests can buy gifts without an account.
Will two guests end up buying the same gift?
Section titled “Will two guests end up buying the same gift?”Not unknowingly. Once a gift order is paid, the remaining count drops and fully covered items are marked fulfilled, so the page always shows what is still needed.
Can I show a registry on a normal page?
Section titled “Can I show a registry on a normal page?”Yes. Use the [gift_registry id="123"] shortcode (replace 123 with the registry’s ID) to embed a specific registry on any page — for example an event landing page.
Can one customer see or change another’s registry?
Section titled “Can one customer see or change another’s registry?”No. Ownership is enforced on every action, so registries never leak between customers.
What event types are supported?
Section titled “What event types are supported?”Common occasions such as weddings, baby showers, birthdays and housewarmings — chosen per registry along with the event date.
