Getting started
Most stores can show a trust-badge row in a few minutes. Install Trust, pick your badges, and choose where they appear.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- WordPress 6.5 or newer
- WooCommerce active
- PHP 8.1 or newer
Install
Section titled “Install”- Install WooCommerce and make sure it is active.
- Install Trust from the plugin directory (when live on WordPress.org) or upload the
trustfolder to/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate the plugin.
First configuration
Section titled “First configuration”Open WooCommerce → Trust Badges in wp-admin:
- Enable badges — master switch.
- Heading — write a line like “Guaranteed safe checkout”, or leave it empty for icons only.
- Bundled badges — pick which to show and reorder them.
- Custom badges — add image badges from the media library; they appear after the bundled ones.
- Placement — product (before/after add-to-cart or end of summary), cart and checkout.
- Appearance — alignment, icon size, colour, and whether to show text labels.
A live preview on the screen shows your choices before you save.
Verify on the storefront
Section titled “Verify on the storefront”- Open a product page — the badge row should appear in your chosen position with no layout shift.
- If enabled, check the cart and checkout pages.
- Confirm bundled badges render as inline SVGs (no third-party requests) and inherit your icon colour.
Shortcode
Section titled “Shortcode”[trust_badges]Use the shortcode to render the badge row anywhere shortcodes are supported.
Free vs PRO
Section titled “Free vs PRO”The free edition covers bundled and custom badges, the heading, placement, alignment, size, colour, the shortcode and the live preview.
Trust PRO (planned) adds badge schedules, per-product badge sets and conversion analytics — not basic badge access.
