Anchor Pro
Anchor Pro is the planned premium edition for Anchor. It is an add-on that requires the free Anchor plugin installed and active; it is distributed through Freemius (licensing, activation and automatic updates), not the WordPress.org directory.
The 0.1.0 release is an early scaffold: it ships the licensing, bootstrap and activation plumbing that the premium features will hook into. The features below are planned and not yet implemented.
Planned PRO features
Section titled “Planned PRO features”- Advanced placement rules - show or hide the sticky bar per product, category or device with finer control than the free toggles.
- Campaign scheduling - reveal the bar (or a different buy label) only during a sale or promotional window.
- Custom bar content - extra fields and badges in the sticky bar, such as savings or shipping cut-off notes.
- Conversion analytics - report on bar impressions, taps and add-to-cart rate from the sticky bar.
What the scaffold does today
Section titled “What the scaffold does today”- Boots only after the free Anchor plugin has loaded and fired its boot action.
- Verifies the free plugin is present and meets the minimum version, with admin notices when it is not.
- Registers premium services and hooks into the free plugin’s container (registries are empty placeholders for now).
- Runs version-tracked PRO activation defaults.
- Declares WooCommerce HPOS and Cart/Checkout Blocks compatibility.
- Integrates the Freemius SDK for licensing, activation UI and automatic updates.
Relationship with Anchor
Section titled “Relationship with Anchor”Anchor Pro extends the free Anchor plugin. The free plugin provides the core sticky add-to-cart bar; PRO adds the placement rules, scheduling and analytics that growing stores ask for.
