Ticker Pro
Ticker Pro is the planned premium edition for Ticker. It is an add-on that requires the free Ticker plugin installed and active; it is distributed through Freemius (licensing, activation and automatic updates), not the WordPress.org directory.
The 0.1.0 release is an early scaffold: it ships the licensing, bootstrap and activation plumbing that the premium features will hook into. The features below are planned and not yet implemented.
Planned PRO features
Section titled “Planned PRO features”- Scheduled campaign windows - drive countdown end times through the
ticker/end_timestampfilter for recurring or scheduled promotions. - Multiple campaigns - run several named campaigns with their own deadlines and targeting instead of a single global date.
- Per-category and per-product rules - apply countdowns and scarcity to specific products, categories or tags.
- Countdown analytics - report on countdown views and conversion during a sale window.
What the scaffold does today
Section titled “What the scaffold does today”- Boots only after the free Ticker plugin has loaded and fired its boot action.
- Verifies the free plugin is present and meets the minimum version, with admin notices when it is not.
- Registers premium services and hooks into the free plugin’s container (registries are empty placeholders for now).
- Runs version-tracked PRO activation defaults.
- Declares WooCommerce HPOS and Cart/Checkout Blocks compatibility.
- Integrates the Freemius SDK for licensing, activation UI and automatic updates.
Relationship with Ticker
Section titled “Relationship with Ticker”Ticker Pro extends the free Ticker plugin. The free plugin provides the core sale countdown and scarcity message; PRO adds scheduled campaign windows, multiple campaigns and analytics that growing stores ask for.
