FAQ

Yes. Tabby adds tabs to the WooCommerce single product page and requires an active WooCommerce installation.

The same safe subset WordPress allows in post content, via wp_kses_post: links, lists, headings, bold/italic, images, blockquotes and similar. Scripts and unsafe markup are stripped on save and on render.

Yes. Open the product, find the Custom Product Tabs (Tabby) box, and tick the global tabs you want to hide for that product. They keep showing on every other product.

In the single product page tab list, alongside the native WooCommerce tabs. You choose whether they appear before or after the native tabs from the settings screen.

Will Tabby conflict with my theme or other tab plugins?

Section titled “Will Tabby conflict with my theme or other tab plugins?”

It is unlikely. Tabby renders through the standard woocommerce_product_tabs filter with sensible priorities, the same mechanism themes and other plugins use, so tabs are merged into one list rather than fighting each other.

It renders nothing. Empty per-product tabs and hidden global tabs are skipped, so the tab list never shows a blank or broken tab.

Does Tabby slow down the product page or shift the layout?

Section titled “Does Tabby slow down the product page or shift the layout?”

No. Tabby outputs into the existing tab structure with a lightweight, dark-mode-aware admin UI and no layout shift on the storefront.

A Pro edition is planned for tab ordering, icons, conditional display rules and shortcode/block content inside tabs. The free edition is the complete custom-tabs product.
