Preorder Pro is the premium edition for Preorder. It is an add-on that requires the free Preorder plugin installed and active; it is distributed through Freemius (licensing, activation and automatic updates), not the WordPress.org directory.

Preorder Pro extends the free plugin’s service container with premium features, it does not work on its own. If the free plugin is missing, deactivated, or older than the required version, Preorder Pro stays dormant and shows an admin notice instead of booting.

Shipping PRO features

• Pre-order incentive discount - reward early buyers by applying a configurable percentage discount to every pre-order line in the cart. Enable it and set the percentage under WooCommerce → Pre-order Discount. The discount appears as a clear negative fee at cart and checkout, and only applies to pre-order lines.
• Partial payment deposit - charge a configurable deposit percentage on pre-order lines at checkout. The balance due on release appears as a negative cart fee and is stored on the order for fulfilment. Configure under WooCommerce → Pre-order Deposit.

Planned PRO features

• Per-variation pre-orders - flag specific variations as pre-orders rather than the whole product.
• Automatic release emails - notify pre-order customers when their product is released.

Relationship with Preorder

Preorder Pro extends the free Preorder plugin. The free plugin provides the core pre-order flag, release date, custom button label and cart/order flagging; PRO adds the incentive discount, deposit payments, and the per-variation pre-orders and release emails that growing stores ask for.
