Followup Pro is the premium edition for Followup. It is an add-on that requires the free Followup plugin installed and active; it is distributed through Freemius (licensing, activation and automatic updates), not the WordPress.org directory.

Followup Pro extends the free plugin’s post-purchase email engine. It does not work on its own. If the free plugin is missing, deactivated, or older than the required version, Followup Pro stays dormant and shows an admin notice instead of booting.

Shipping PRO features

Followup Pro is feature-complete at branded HTML emails, custom sequences, coupon blocks, send reporting, send-time scheduling and open/click tracking.

• Branded HTML email templates — wraps each follow-up in a responsive HTML layout with a configurable accent colour and logo, hooked through the free plugin’s followup/mail filter via HtmlEmails.
• Custom post-purchase sequences — build up to eight steps with their own trigger status, delay, subject and body on WooCommerce → Followup Sequence, injected through followup/sequence_steps via CustomSequences.
• Coupon blocks — create a single-use WooCommerce coupon per order and follow-up step. Use the {coupon} placeholder or auto-append the offer on WooCommerce → Follow-ups Pro via CouponBlocks.
• Send reporting — aggregate send counts per step on WooCommerce → Followup Reports, recorded through the free followup/email_sent action via SendReporting.
• Send-time scheduling — defer sends until a chosen store-timezone hour and optional weekdays on WooCommerce → Followup Schedule, gated through the free followup/should_send filter via SendTimeScheduling.
• Open and click tracking — rewrite links and count aggregate opens and clicks per step on WooCommerce → Followup Reports, enabled on WooCommerce → Follow-ups Pro via OpenClickTracking and the free followup/email_links filter.

Relationship with Followup

The free plugin covers thank-you and review-request follow-ups with per-type enable, trigger status, delay, templates and idempotent daily sending. PRO adds branded HTML, custom sequences, coupon blocks, send reporting, send-time scheduling and open/click tracking. No further PRO wedges are planned beyond this release.
