WooCommerce Compatibility Check

Assess whether a planned update or new extension can be introduced with evidence and a safe rollback path.

1. Are exact WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, theme and plugin versions recorded?

Compatibility cannot be assessed reliably from product names alone.

2. Does staging represent production data shape, configuration and checkout?

A blank demo site will miss catalogue, order and integration edge cases.

3. Are PHP, WooCommerce and browser errors captured during tests?

Visible success can still hide background jobs, API and JavaScript failures.

4. Are cart, checkout, payment, email and refund paths tested?

Include guest, account, coupon, tax and the payment methods actually used.

5. Are custom code, template overrides and integration owners documented?

Overrides and snippets are common upgrade breakpoints.

6. Is there a timed, tested rollback with a database-safe plan?

Restoring files alone may not reverse database migrations safely.
