Tiers

Volume discounts shoppers see before they add to cart

Tiers adds quantity/volume based pricing to WooCommerce. Define tiers - each a minimum quantity and a discount percentage - and the discount applies to the cart line once the quantity reaches that threshold. A price table renders server-side on the product page, so shoppers see the breakpoints before they add to cart.

Wholesale discounts are hard to show in a store

A shopper would happily buy more if they knew a larger quantity costs less. Without a clear tier table, the volume discount stays hidden or needs manual arrangement.

  • No visible price information for larger quantities
  • Wholesale discounts arranged by hand outside the store
  • Scripts on the product page slow the view and make quick cart checks harder
  • Inconsistent totals across WooCommerce's repeated cart recalculations

Tiers shows the breakpoints and applies the discount automatically

  • A server-rendered price table with tiers on the product page
  • The discount comes off the regular price once a quantity threshold is met
  • When several tiers match, the highest-quantity tier wins - large orders get the deepest discount
  • Consistent totals across WooCommerce's repeated cart recalculations

Frequently asked questions

Does it require WooCommerce?

Yes. The plugin works with WooCommerce products.

How is the discount calculated?

Each tier takes its discount percentage off the product's regular price. The highest-threshold tier that the cart quantity satisfies is the one applied.

Will multiple tiers stack?

No. A single best-matching tier is applied per cart line.

Does it work with variations?

The free edition covers simple products. Broader pricing rules are planned for Tiers Pro.

Is Tiers lightweight?

Yes. The tier table renders server-side as plain HTML, with no jQuery and no client-side scripting.

How does Tiers compare to Discount Rules and YITH Dynamic Pricing?

All three apply quantity and tiered pricing. Tiers shows a server-side price table on the product page and is HPOS and Cart/Checkout Blocks ready, free and open source, with PRO from €49/yr. Discount Rules has a generous free tier; YITH's is limited. Pricing as of June 2026.
