Back to Swift Prov1.0.16 (21 releases)

Changelog Swift Pro

Changelog for the available Swift Pro WooCommerce plugin: updates, fixes and feature development.

v1.0.16
  • Buy Now analytics send the placement with the single-product button again. Since Swift 1.0.21 that button is a submit inside the cart form, and the context script only looked for a separate form; clicks were still counted as single by default.
v1.0.15
  • Security (low): Buy Now analytics counted a click for any add-to-cart request carrying the Buy Now key, so crafted requests could inflate the click numbers. A click now counts only when the Buy Now nonce verifies.
v1.0.14
  • Display name drops the "Plogins " prefix; the slug, text domain and option keys are unchanged.
v1.0.13
  • Fixed: arrow glyphs in the admin menu paths, and in the strings handed to translators. An arrow inside a translatable string makes the glyph every translator's problem and changes the layout in any locale that drops it.
v1.0.12
  • Fixed: the express-checkout buttons for Apple Pay and Google Pay could appear twice on a product page. Moving a gateway's button into the Buy Now group means unhooking it from the place it puts itself, and that unhooking was registered on `plugins_loaded`, which has already fired by the time this plugin boots. So it never ran: the gateway drew its button where it always had, and we drew a second copy in our group below. The unhooking now runs on a hook that is still ahead of the page, and the button appears once, in the group.
v1.0.11
  • Fixed: the Buy Now button label could never be translated. It sat as a plain English literal in config/defaults.php, which is not a gettext call, so it never reached the .pot file and no translator could see it. Activation wrote it straight into the option, and every save of the settings screen wrote it back, so the English was frozen in the database and a shop running in Polish printed an English button however complete its language pack was. The label now ships empty and is resolved at render through a gettext call, so it follows the language of the store. An update clears a stored label only when it matches the old English default byte for byte, so your own wording is kept.
v1.0.10
  • Fixed: the plugin title label on Freemius notices rendered white on a background measuring 2.37:1, where WCAG AA wants 4.5:1 for text that size. The label now uses the same grey WordPress core uses, at 4.61:1.
  • Fixed: the public key constant was defined inside the guard for the product id constant, so it would have gone undefined if anything had defined the id first. Harmless today, wrong the moment it is not.
v1.0.9
  • New: **analytics data retention.** The `swift_pro_analytics` table used to grow indefinitely. Events are now pruned once they pass the retention period chosen under **WooCommerce -> Buy Now Analytics** (30, 90, 180, 365 or 730 days; 180 by default for new installs). Existing store data is preserved on upgrade until a retention period is selected. The prune runs hourly in small batches so it never locks the table on a busy shop, re-schedules itself if the cron entry goes missing (including on multisite sites that were already active), and is removed on deactivation and uninstall.
v1.0.8
  • Variable Buy Now now runs on PRO's own checkout handler instead of borrowing the free plugin's. The forms post to `swift_pro_buy_now` with their own nonce, and PRO adds the chosen variation to the cart itself. Behaviour is unchanged: it reads the same settings, so "empty the cart first" and the cart or checkout destination still follow what you set for the free button, and the `wppoland_direct_checkout_redirect_url` filter still fires.
  • Why: the free plugin carried variation handling it had no way to reach on its own, which WordPress.org treats as a locked feature. It is being removed there, so PRO now owns the part it actually uses. Install this release before updating the free plugin.
v1.0.7
  • Fix: uninstall now removes what the plugin created. It deletes the PRO options and drops the `swift_pro_analytics` table, which used to survive a delete, and on multisite it cleans every site in the network. Tables belonging to the free plugin are left alone. The cleanup runs through the Freemius `after_uninstall` hook, and the `swift-pro/uninstall/delete_data` filter can keep the data instead.
v1.0.3
  • Fixed low-contrast admin headings under an OS dark-mode preference.
v1.0.2
  • Added bundled Polish, German and Spanish translations for the plugin interface.
v1.0.1
  • First stable release.
v0.6.2
  • Plugin Check: escaping/sanitisation/i18n/hygiene fixes.
v0.6.1
  • Maintenance: renamed the plugin slug to `plogins-swift-pro` and updated the text domain to match. No functional changes.
v0.6.0
  • New: buy-now analytics, track Buy Now clicks and direct-checkout conversions per product, with conversion rate, attributed revenue, CSV export and a storefront tracking toggle under **WooCommerce > Buy Now Analytics**.
v0.5.0
  • New: Buy Now for variable products in shop loops, attribute dropdowns and a Buy Now button on archive pages when free Swift loop placement is enabled.
v0.4.0
  • New: express checkout shortcuts, Apple Pay / Google Pay wallet buttons grouped beside Buy Now on single product pages (WooCommerce Payments or Stripe). Toggle under **WooCommerce > Buy Now Pro**.
v0.3.0
  • New: per-product Buy Now rules, hide the button, set a custom label, or override checkout vs cart redirect from the product editor.
  • Uses WordPress filters on the free Swift button template and a storefront-kit redirect filter; PRO variable forms respect hide rules.
v0.2.0
  • New: Buy Now for variable products, adds a Buy Now button to single variable product pages that activates once a complete, in-stock variation is selected and sends the shopper straight to checkout, reusing the free plugin's direct-checkout handler.
  • New: sticky Buy Now bar, a slide-in bar on single product pages with product name, price and a Buy Now button; mirrors the selected variation for variable products.
  • New: **WooCommerce > Buy Now Pro** settings page to toggle each feature and set the button label.
v0.1.0
  • Initial scaffold release. Establishes the PRO add-on bootstrap: boots on top of the free Swift plugin via the `swift/booted` action, verifies the free plugin and minimum version, wires premium service/hook registries into the shared container, runs activation defaults and version-tracked migrations, declares WooCommerce HPOS + Blocks compatibility, and integrates the Freemius SDK for licensing and updates. Premium features (express checkout shortcuts, Buy Now for variable products in loops, per-product button rules, buy-now analytics) are planned and not yet implemented.
