Sieve PRO capabilities
Sieve PRO is planned as the advanced layer on top of the free Sieve filter. The free plugin stays focused on fast, accessible AJAX filtering. PRO extends the same index and rendering model with controls that larger WooCommerce stores usually need once filtering becomes part of merchandising and SEO strategy.
This page describes the intended capability areas. It is not a changelog or a promise that every item is already released.
Capability areas
Section titled “Capability areas”| Area | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Advanced facets | More sources, more display options and richer product-data mapping. |
| Conditional rules | Show, hide or reorder facets depending on category, page, stock state or active filters. |
| Merchandising | Boost, pin or hide products for specific filter combinations. |
| SEO controls | Decide which filtered URLs can be indexed and which should use canonical or noindex. |
| Analytics | See which filters shoppers use, where they hit no results and which combinations matter. |
| Performance reporting | Inspect index size, rebuild time and slow filter combinations. |
When PRO makes sense
Section titled “When PRO makes sense”PRO is aimed at stores where filtering is not just a widget. It is useful when:
- product data contains custom fields that shoppers should filter by;
- category pages need different facet layouts;
- some filter combinations should become SEO landing pages;
- merchandising needs to change the order of results;
- the store team needs reporting on filter usage and zero-result searches;
- large catalogues need visibility into index health.
Free and PRO boundary
Section titled “Free and PRO boundary”The free plugin should remain complete enough for a normal WooCommerce store: indexed AJAX filtering, common facets, predictive search, mobile drawer, accessible controls and stable rendering.
PRO should avoid weakening that promise. Its job is to add control and insight, not to move basic filtering behind a paywall.
