Historia zmian Sieve

Historia zmian dostępnej wtyczki Sieve: aktualizacje, poprawki i rozwój funkcji dla WooCommerce.

v1.1.14
  • Fixed: the package shipped shared badge, waitlist, pricing and support code that Sieve never uses. Next to Marks or Waitlist, that copy could load in place of theirs and break them. It is no longer included.
v1.1.13
  • Fixed: ticking a parent category (Clothing above Shirts) in the category tree returned no products, and the parent showed no count. A product is now indexed under every ancestor of its categories, the way a WooCommerce category archive counts it, so a parent's count includes its subcategories. The index rebuilds itself once after the update.
  • Fixed: facet counts and the price range bounds included products the grid does not show: products hidden from the catalogue, and out-of-stock products when "Hide out of stock items" is on. A count now matches the number of products the shopper gets when ticking it.
  • Fixed: on phones the filter drawer closed after every change, so only one filter could be picked per opening and the "Show results" bar was never reached. The drawer now stays open until "Show results" or a tap on the backdrop.
  • Uninstall now also removes the swatch colours and images stored on attribute terms.
  • The package no longer carries the ESLint configuration file.
v1.1.12
  • The package no longer carries the compare engine, which Sieve never loads.
v1.1.11
  • Hardening: filter parameters read from the page URL by the shortcode and the block are now sanitised at the moment they are read, not only later in the URL parser.
  • Fixed: an image swatch URL containing percent-encoded characters (for example %20 for a space) lost them on save, because the value went through a text sanitiser before the URL sanitiser. The URL is now sanitised with esc_url_raw() only.
  • The package no longer carries seven shared storefront engines Sieve never loads (wishlist, quick view, add-ons, bundles, checkout, gift cards, media).
v1.1.10
  • Changed: a code comment claimed WooCommerce verifies a nonce on the add-to-cart form. That form carries no nonce, so the comment now says so. Comment correction only, no change in behaviour.
v1.1.9
  • Fixed: the first index build ran inside an admin page load. On a large catalogue that single request had to read every product, so the admin was slow while the index was being built and, past a few thousand products, the request could time out and start over from scratch on a later page load. The build now runs on a background cron tick in batches of 200 products, records the highest product ID it reached and carries on from there, and reads the list of products to index with one direct query per batch instead of `get_posts()`, so another plugin's `pre_get_posts` filter can no longer add to, reorder or trim the set Sieve indexes. The saved position carries the version that wrote it and is ignored when it does not match, so a build interrupted by a plugin update starts over instead of finishing with half the catalogue indexed by the previous version. A tick that finds the indexing lock held books a retry rather than dropping the build. On a site with wp-cron switched off (`DISABLE_WP_CRON`), where a scheduled event may never run at all, admin pages index one batch inline instead: one batch per page load, not the whole catalogue in one request. Developers can change the batch size with the `sieve_index_batch_size` filter.
  • Fixed: rebuilding the index emptied it first, so filters and predictive search answered from an empty or half-filled table until the rebuild finished. The rebuild now replaces each product's rows in place and only at the end drops what is left over from products that no longer exist, so the previous index stays readable while the new one is written over it.
  • Changed: the manual "Rebuild index" button on the settings screen walks the catalogue in those same batches and drops the per-request object cache between them, so the products it has already indexed are not all held in memory at once. On a site running a persistent object cache drop-in that cache is left in place, because clearing it is not this plugin's to do.
  • Note: 1.1.6, 1.1.7 and 1.1.8 were development versions and were never published on WordPress.org. Upgrading from 1.1.5 brings all of the above at once.
v1.1.5
  • Fixed: the PRO upgrade promo kept selling to people who had already bought the paid edition. Only the banner could be dismissed, so the sidebar promo and the locked feature cards followed a paying customer around for good. The promo now checks whether the paid edition is active and steps aside when it is.
  • Fixed: arrow glyphs in the admin menu paths, and in the strings handed to translators. An arrow inside a translatable string makes the glyph every translator's problem and changes the layout in any locale that drops it.
v1.1.4
  • Changed: the PRO feature cards printed an arrow glyph in menu paths where the rest of the plugin and the documentation use a plain ">". Same navigation, one character that renders everywhere.
v1.1.3
  • Fixed: the predictive search box never showed suggestions. The script that powers the typeahead was not being built, so the browser asked for a file that was not in the package and got nothing. Typing in the `[sieve_search]` box, the Sieve Search block or the Elementor widget produced no dropdown, no thumbnails and no prices; it only worked as a plain search form on Enter. The script ships again, and the build now fails if any enqueued file is missing from the package.
v1.1.2
  • Fixed: deleting the plugin left everything behind. Sieve had no uninstall routine at all, so its facet index table, three options and the per-user "dismiss" flag from the PRO notice stayed in the database permanently. Uninstall now removes all of them, on every site of a multisite network. The index is derived from your catalogue and is rebuilt on reinstall, so nothing you typed is lost.
v1.1.1
  • Housekeeping only, no change to what the plugin does. The JavaScript lint gate had been failing on 32 findings for long enough that nobody read it, so it caught nothing; it is green again. The two block editor components are now named components rather than inline methods, which is what the React rules were objecting to, and the built blocks are checked on every build to confirm they still register.
v1.1.0
  • Added: colour and image fields on product attribute terms. Swatch facets read both values off the term and no screen could set either, so an image swatch could never show an image and a colour swatch only ever worked when the term name happened to be a colour the plugin could guess. The colour field accepts a plain hex value, the image field an attachment ID or an image URL.
v1.0.23
  • Removed a defaults file that declared five settings the plugin never read: filter mode, mobile drawer, result counts, dependent counts and reserved results height. Nothing loaded the file and nothing stored those values, so no setting of yours changes. They describe how Sieve already works rather than anything you can switch, and leaving them in the source implied a settings screen that does not exist.
v1.0.22
  • "Tested up to" was declared in the plugin header as well as in this readme. WordPress.org reads the readme; declaring it in two places is how a listing ends up advertising a compatibility claim nobody wrote. The header line is gone, the readme is unchanged.
v1.0.21
  • The translation template was regenerated. 29 strings added to the plugin since the template was last built were missing from it, so no translator could reach them in any language, and 4 strings the plugin no longer uses have been dropped. Nothing you see changes; what a translator can see does.
v1.0.20
  • Fixed: the plugin reported an older version number internally than the one it was released under. That number versions the stylesheets and scripts the admin screen loads, so a browser holding the previous files kept them after an update instead of fetching the corrected ones.
  • Fixed: the package no longer ships its own translation files. WordPress.org builds language packs from translate.wordpress.org, and a bundled catalogue shadows that pack, so a translation corrected upstream could not reach you until the next release. Your language now comes from the language pack, which is the copy that stays current.
v1.0.19
  • Declared compatibility with WooCommerce 11.0.
v1.0.18
  • Fixed the PRO promo on the settings screen quoting a price in PLN. PRO is priced and charged in EUR, so an admin on a Polish site was shown a zloty amount and then billed in euro, and the zloty figure was a fixed conversion that drifted from the real charge as the rate moved. The promo now shows the euro price that is actually taken.
v1.0.17
  • Corrected the PRO pricing line. It said the price is shown in PLN at checkout, which is not the case: the price is 29 EUR per year and the checkout charges in EUR.
v1.0.16
  • The Price facet now always shows as a price slider on the shop. If its type had been switched to checkboxes, radio, dropdown, swatches, hierarchy, autocomplete or A-Z index, the whole facet quietly disappeared from the storefront. The same applies to the search-box facet.
  • The range slider is now offered only for the Price source. On any other source it rendered a 0 to 0 slider and shoppers who used it were shown no products at all; those facets now show their normal option list.
v1.0.15
  • Corrected the star-rating facet description in the admin. It said the facet "requires Sieve Pro for storefront rendering", which is not true: the facet works and renders as selectable options in this plugin. What the paid edition adds is the visual star rows. The old wording read as though a facet you can select here does nothing until you pay.
v1.0.14
  • The PRO notice in the admin repeated an older wording of the Sieve PRO feature list and no longer matched the plugin page. Regenerated from the same source the website uses, so both say the same thing, including which admin screen each feature lives on.
v1.0.10
  • Translations: completed Polish, German and Spanish for the PRO upgrade panel.
v1.0.9
  • Declared compatibility with WooCommerce 10.9.
v1.0.8
  • Security: strict color-format validation on attribute swatches, preventing style-attribute injection from term meta.
v1.0.7
  • Translation quality pass: corrected Polish, German and Spanish (product names kept in English, legal withdrawal terminology, WooCommerce glossary and grammar fixes).
v1.0.6
  • Documentation: readme links are now labelled links.
v1.0.5
  • Prefixed the (unused) storefront-kit product-badges filter as sieve_product_badges to satisfy WordPress plugin naming guidelines.
v1.0.4
  • New: an in-plugin overview of Sieve PRO on the admin screen (dismissible, advertising only).
v1.0.3
  • Added a Free vs PRO overview to the readme.
v1.0.2
  • Added bundled Polish, German and Spanish translations for the plugin interface.
v1.0.1
  • First stable release.
v0.9.7
  • Docs: added a "You may also like" section linking the other free WPPoland WooCommerce plugins. No functional changes.
v0.9.6
  • New: Elementor widgets for product search and product filter (works on Elementor 3.x and 4.0).
v0.9.5
  • Admin: fix index help text shown on every facet row; add empty-index and empty-facet notices, grouped source picker, save/reindex error messages, and load-failure state.
  • Admin: style-preset inline help in Appearance panel.
v0.9.4
  • Extension: `sieve_search_product_ids` filter on `SearchResolver` so PRO add-ons can route the in-grid search facet and predictive search through SearchWP or Algolia.
v0.9.3
  • Extension: `sieve_facet_body`, `sieve_facet_types` and `sieve_facet_catalog` filters plus `FacetTypeRegistry` in the admin catalog REST response so PRO add-ons can register advanced facet presentations (e.g. star rating).
v0.9.2
  • Extension: `sieve_settings` filter and `layout` setting (sidebar, stacked, inline) so PRO add-ons can rotate filter-panel layouts and column counts. FilterEngine applies layout modifier classes on `.sieve-app`.
v0.9.1
  • Extension: `sieve_facets` filter and page context (`FacetContext`) so PRO add-ons can show or hide facets by category, shop page or customer role. AJAX requests preserve context via `sf_ctx_*` query vars.
v0.9.0
  • Polish: a refreshed, more attractive filter UI. Collapsible facet groups, an "Active filters" chip row with clearer remove buttons, a friendly empty state with a one-click "Clear all filters" action, an accessible loading spinner, and a retryable error message if an update fails.
  • Design: themeable CSS custom properties, fluid sizing, automatic dark mode (prefers-color-scheme), and tasteful transitions that respect prefers-reduced-motion. No layout shift when filters apply.
  • Admin: inline help on every setting, including a short description of what each facet type looks like to shoppers.
  • Accessibility: facet groups expose their expanded/collapsed state, result counts announce politely, the pagination and filter regions are labelled, and remove buttons have clear accessible names.
v0.8.2
  • Compliance: documented the public source repository and the build steps for the compiled assets (WordPress.org plugin guidelines).
v0.8.1
  • Internationalisation: the admin and front-end JavaScript interface strings are now included in the translation template, so the whole plugin (not just the PHP side) can be fully translated.
v0.8.0
  • New: Appearance settings. Choose a style preset (Default, Minimal, Bordered, Soft, Unstyled) and customise the accent, border, muted-text and background colours from the admin, with a live preview and a contrast hint. Applies to both the filter and the predictive search. Zero extra requests, no layout shift, fully backward compatible.
v0.7.0
  • Search now behaves as a filter: type to narrow the live grid in place with predictive, diacritic- and typo-tolerant suggestions, combinable with every facet, and URL- and back-button-safe. Dependent facet counts now reflect the active search too.
v0.6.0
  • Predictive search is now diacritic-insensitive and typo-tolerant. It matches product titles and SKUs while ignoring diacritic differences (so "lozko" finds "łóżko"), tolerates small typos, and matching categories are found the same way. This release triggers a one-time rebuild of the search index.
v0.5.0
  • Predictive search now looks beyond product titles: a partial SKU pass surfaces a product by its code even when the title misses, and matching product categories appear as their own group in the dropdown so a shopper can jump straight to the filtered archive. Results and categories are grouped with headings, and keyboard navigation moves through both.
v0.4.0
  • New facet types: Autocomplete (a search box that filters a facet's own options as you type, for facets with many values) and A-Z index (an alphabetical bar that filters options by first letter). Both filter client-side with no extra request, and degrade to a plain option list without JavaScript.
v0.3.0
  • New: predictive product search. The `[sieve_search]` shortcode and "Sieve Search" block render an accessible search box with an instant typeahead dropdown (product thumbnails, prices, SKU), full keyboard navigation, and a "view all results" link. Built on WooCommerce product search, loaded as a standalone lightweight bundle so pages without it stay fast.
v0.2.0
  • New facet types: color and image swatches (with per-term color/image, plus an automatic color guess from common color names) and hierarchical (tree) category facets that show only branches leading to results.
v0.1.2
  • Admin: cleaner facet builder rows (aligned controls, grouped reorder/remove buttons with first/last disabled states, field source shown as a caption).
v0.1.1
  • Compliance: added the plugin owner to the Contributors list and included the human-readable sources and build steps for the compiled assets (WordPress.org plugin guidelines).
v0.1.0
  • Initial MVP release: pre-built index, AJAX filtering with URL state, dependent facet counts, checkboxes / radio / dropdown / range / search facets, sorting, active-filter chips, pagination, mobile filter drawer, React facet builder, `[sieve]` shortcode and "Sieve Filter" block.
